Process Overview

What materials are used in making the cabinets?

We use a ¾” engineered furniture board with a TFL (Thermal Fused Laminate), HPL (High Pressure Laminate), and 3DL (Three dimensional Laminate) finish. As an alternate option we can offer NAUF (No Added Urea Formaldehyde) “moisture resistant core” material as well.

How are the cabinets assembled?

Solid wood dowel construction built to AWI (American Woodworking Institute) standards. Cabinet components are cut and machined on the most current, state of the art machinery for exact tolerances. They are clamped in a case clamp under pressure to be squared up when the backs are attached.

How are the drawers made?

We use ¾” front, backs, and sides that are glued and doweled together with the bottoms being ¼” material fully captured in dadoes. Our all metal side drawers have a ½” bottom.

What are the doors and drawer fronts made of?

Our standard is ¾” thick material. We offer (3) tiers of choices which could be from our Integrate line which is (HPL) High Pressure Laminate, Intrigue line which is (TFL) Thermal Fused Laminate, or our Inspire line which is which is a vinyl foil door with a three-dimensional laminate (3DL).

What are the features of the (3) different tiers?

  1. Integrate = (HPL) High Pressure Laminate
High Pressure Laminate HPL Panels are produced by saturating multiple layers of kraft paper layers with phenolic resin. An additional protective overlay as well as the decor paper are placed on top of the kraft paper before pressing. These layers are all fused together with high heat and pressure and glued to the core resulting in a harder tougher surface. Only Table Tops always provides double sided HPL panels as shown here. We have found that paper backers on working surfaces such as tabletops, tend to warp over time and do not perform up to our standards.
  2. Intrigue = (TFL) Thermal Fused Laminate
Thermally Fused Laminate TFL Panels are produced by fusing a resin-based sheet of decor paper directly to a core. There are no kraft paper layers used in TFL. Pressure and heat activate the resin-based sheet and create a cross linked bond with the core. This seal the core making it impossible to peel away. TFL panels have a lower cost, but potentially take longer to produce depending on color and pattern requested.
  3. Inspire = (3DL) Vinyl Foil with Three-Dimensional Laminate
Vinyl applied with adhesive, heat, and pressure for a seamless easy to clean product, door, and drawer front.

What style offerings do you have for the doors and drawer?

We offer (5) styles of doors and drawer fronts. We have slab (HPL and TFL finish), five- piece shaker (TFL finish), classic (vinyl foil finish), shaker shallow (vinyl foil finish), and elegante smooth slab (vinyl foil finish).

What type of decorative hardware do your offer? (Handles / Pulls)

  • Brushed Nickel
  • Antimicrobial Copper by Cuverro®
  • Your Specified Selection

What types of counters do you offer?

  • High Pressure Laminate: on 45lb industrial grade particle board, .042 thick.
  • Solid Surface: An option we offer that has many great design aspects. It has a renewable surface if you would happen to scratch it, unlike laminate.
  • Quartz: Top of the line quality and performance. Extremely hard material that resist water damage and scratching with an elegant look to please. Maintenance and worry free. No sealing to hassle with.

Will you provide the design and shop drawings and in how much detail?

Shop drawings will detail each room and every cabinet with three views to include: plan, elevation, and section views. A finish schedule will be provided with your color selections for the project. A hardware schedule of pulls and drawer slides selection will be provided.
